It's not secret that Halloween is kind of my thing. I may not go all out with aesthetic decor, but I do start thinking about my costume no less than 6 months in advance.
It's become a trend for me to choose costumes where I can where a fake mustache, because society demands that I wax mine off all year long (super lame). My costumes are always funny and never sexy. Maybe another good blog post would be a run-down of some of my favorite costumes over the years. However, for the sake of staying on topic, I want to show off the costume I wore to a work event last night that got great reviews and took me almost no effort to put together.

Here's what I ordered from Amazon to make it happen:
I already had a pink tshirt and wore sweatpants and slides to complete the look.
The only issue I ran into was getting a colored contact for one eye, which would have made this costume a real winner. I used to wear colored contacts in high school and the companies were constantly sending out non-prescription samples of different colors for you to try. Silly me thought it would be as easy as walking into VisionWorks and spending a few bucks on a sample set. Not the case. Apparently "that's like walking into a pharmacy and asking for non-prescription meds". That being said, you can either make an appointment with your optometrist to get them or you can just order online with a few days notice. Here are some websites to try:
If you really want to commit to the character, you can also get some temporary tribal tattoos like these.
I've messages all day in response to the photos I posted to Instagram last night, so it's safe to say this costume is a crowd favorite and only cost me $32 total. If you're still looking for a last minute Halloween costume, this might be the one!
